Checkout these titles recommended by teens! Every year, the Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA) presents an award, the Teens' Top Ten (TTT), that is decided by teens. It allows teens (13 through 19) throughout America to vote on their favorite books, based on a list of nominees (that are also recommended by teens from across the nation). Below, you'll find the list of all the TTT 2020 Nominees, plus, I've added an asterisk (*) to show you which titles have won in 2020's vote! There are also direct links to any titles that Coeur d'Alene Public Library has access to (in both physical and digital format). Voting takes place in mid-August, so make sure that you've read some of these by then, so you can make an informed decision. The Teens' Top Ten (TTT) nominees (and winners) for 2020 are... 1) #MurderFunding* (#MurderTrending #2) (by G. McNeil) 2) Are You Listening? (by T. Walden) 5) Between Worlds: Folktales of Britain and Ireland (by K. Crossley-Holland) 6) Broken Throne* (by V. Aveyard) 7) Dreamland: The True Tale of America's Opiate Epidemic (by S. Quinones) 15) My Ideal Boyfriend is a Croissant (by L. Dockrill) 18) Stolen Time (Dark Stars #1) (by D. Rollins) 19) Stronger than a Bronze Dragon (by M. Fan) 20) These Witches Don't Burn (by I. Sterling) You can also see all the physical items we have access to at-a-glance, using this link: 2020 Teens' Top Ten Nominees.
We don't have access to every title on the list, but feel free to request that we purchase a missing title or format through our New Purchase Suggestion Form. This form is the best way to request things whether its a title that we don't have in any format, or even just not in your favorite format. Is your favorite book on the list? Let us know in the comments below. Happy reading!
